Welcome to Anxiety Buster: Busting Big Feelings
If youâre here, youâre likely the parent of a child who has big reactions to seemingly small situations.
Youâve scoured the internet, listened to parenting podcasts, and followed experts on social mediaâcollecting all the best tips and strategies for handling big emotions.
Only to find that your child doesnât want to use them.
You are not alone. Parents tell me this all of the time!!

Welcome!! If we have not met, I am Erin Olheiser, a Child Therapist Specializing in Anxiety & Highly Sensitive Kids .
Busting Big Feelings is not another parenting resource that claims to have the one and only method for helping your child. Because the truth isâthere is not just one way!!
I have been working with children and families for over 20 years, and I have trained in:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - a gold standard therapy for anxiety disorders that is backed by research but designed for adults and not always perfect for kids.  Â
- SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) - a powerful approach that is also backed by research that helps parents shift their responses to their child's anxiety.Â
- Play Therapy - is designed specifically for kids because kids aren't little adults. Their language is play; through it, they process emotions, build resilience, and develop confidence. Â
- Animal-Assisted Play Therapy - integrates play therapy and the connection and comfort of animals to support emotional growth. Â
I am not listing my training to impress you. I have trained and explored different approaches because none of these approaches are 100% effective. In mental health, our best approaches are only 60% effective (even medication!).Â
No single approach works for everyone.

Why I Created: Busting Big Feelings
Every week, I have to turn away too many families because there simply arenât enough hours in the day. This made me take a hard look at what really helps kids thrive.
And hereâs what I know: The best person to help your child isnât meâitâs YOU!
Not because youâre doing something wrong. Not because you have a bad relationship with your child. But because parenting an anxious or highly sensitive child requires a different approach.

How Busting Big Feelings Can Help You
My parenting courses are designed so you can access expert guidance on your schedule.
Yes, they require an investmentâbecause research shows that when we commit, we follow through.Â
The truth is, even in therapy, change does not happen in a single 50-minute therapy session each week. It happens when people integrate what theyâve learned into daily life.
đ Start with our mini-coursesâbased on the top concerns parents bring to me.
đ Join the waitlist for my flagship program, Building Brave Hearts, an intensive course with coaching calls for deeper support.
